Reliability and safety

Child safety device

The Silent Gliss child safety device is an integral option for reliability and peace of mind.  The device releases the operating chain or cord should the pulling force exceed 6kg or more.

Available on our cord operated Metropoles (Systems 6120 and 6160) and our 4905 Roller Blind.

Cord retainer

The Silent Gliss cord retainer will be supplied with all chain/cord looped blinds and tracks where the child safety device is not required.  The cord retainer is fixed to the window reveal or wall and holds looped cords or chains taut to reduce risk of an inquisitive child becoming entangled.

Motorisation

We offer a wide range of products with a motorised option which eliminates all cords or chains, removing any risk to children.  The systems are operated at a touch of a button and from the comfort of your chair.

Draw rod operated systems

Our curtains can be operated by a single draw rod without the need for operating cords or chains.

Spring operated roller blinds

Practical and simple precautions

1. Examine every blind or corded track in your home.  If any blind has a looped control cord or chain then 'Make It Safe' - use a safety device such as a Silent Gliss cord retainer.
    
2. Make sure that all blind/curtain track cords or chains cannot be reached by children.
    
3. Remember - even if children do not live in the home they may visit.
    
4. Do not put sofas, chairs, beds or play pens near to window blinds as children love to climb.
