Excellent service from Ritetrack

The curtain rail was excellent but the timer for this was difficult to program. The instructions in the booklet are difficult to read and even more difficult to follow. It is unclear that for each action you need to select a different letter (It suggests you use the letter "B" for both opening and shutting) and the diagrams suggest you use the wrong buttons to set the timing. Fortunately Mr Alexander from Silentglide talked me through the settings and we finally manged to set timings (It took us the best part of a week to achieve this!)

Overall, an excellent albeit expensive product. Some of the documentation needs improvement and anglicising. The two end stops, motor and non-motor end were loose in the packaging and not clearly identified as to purpose. The packaging is over-engineered also.

4 not 5 stars because of the instructions. The rail is very neat & the curtains open and close silently and beautifully. We were rather frustrated by the tiny instructions & felt that the fitting of the brackets to the rail needed a photograph to make it clear. Setting the timer was quite an issue, it really isn't user friendly. We messed about with it for hours with no joy. Eventually I wrang Silent Gliss & couldn't fault the patience & helpfulness I received (thank you). It transpired I hadn't managed to register the timer to the motor, but had somehow managed to get the right information in.
Very happy now.

We purchased four Silent Gliss 5100T units to replace manual units also bought from RiteTrack some years ago. They arrived very promptly following an easy and friendly ordering process, were exceptionally well packaged, and my husband was able to install them in very short order, with no hiccups. They work beautifully smoothly, and the curtains hang very well with no messing or modification. Altogether we are very pleased with this purchase from RiteTrack.

This is the 3rd version of this product that I have purchased. I have to say that it is not an improvement on earlier versions. The negative changes are as follows:
a) The track support brackets are obtrusive, on previous versions they were not at all obvious. They also protrude further from the wall than previous versions leaving a discernible gap at each end
b) The curtains do not hang as neatly as with previous versions.
c) Setting the opening and closing times is a complicated process following the introduction of wireless technology.
d) It is no longer possible to close the curtains on a light sensor.

On the positive side the curtains close with hardly any sound from the motor.

With regard to the customer service from RiteTrack, I have to say that it was exceptional. I had a problem with one of the motors and on contacting the company a new motor was despatched immediately. Also phone calls and e-mails were returned promptly. With such excellent service I will be using this company again should I require further products.

Well packaged . Easy to install. Worked first time with silent motion. Great product. Timer instructions could be made simpler.
